SoGEA business broadband — broadband without paying for a phone line
What is SoGEA?
SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) is business broadband delivered on its own — without an underlying telephone service. Traditionally, broadband was added on top of a phone line you had to rent even if you never made calls on it. With SoGEA there is one order and one bill: just the broadband.
Why choose SoGEA for your business?
• Same speeds as FTTC fibre broadband (up to 80Mbps download / 20Mbps upload)
• No phone line rental to pay if you do not need a landline
• Ready for the January 2027 copper switch off — SoGEA is unaffected
• Free static IP address included
• Faster installation with a single order and wholesale pricing
Still need to make calls?
No problem. Pair SoGEA with our SIP / VoIP telephony and keep your existing numbers — often at a lower total cost than a phone line plus broadband. And if your business needs to keep a traditional analogue line for alarms, card machines or other equipment, we can keep your copper line running until 2030 alongside SoGEA.
Is SoGEA right for you?
If your business uses FTTC broadband today and rents a phone line mainly because it had to, SoGEA usually saves money for exactly the same performance. If full fibre is available at your premises, FTTP may be the better upgrade — we will advise on the best option, not just the easiest one to sell.
